Info for publishers
Publishers find it refreshing to work with us. We're efficient, but we're also personal and responsive to inquiries and feedback.
Please read our copyright statement and our disclaimers.
We invite publishers to use Book News material in many ways — on websites, as links and in publicity feeds. The publisher pages are convenient for some purposes, but we'd be happy to assemble a file from our database for you on request.
SCOPE
Book News reviews newly published non-fiction books in all subjects — high-level titles in the sciences, social sciences, and humanities. Although we also review some general interest titles, these are not our primary focus. We do not review fiction, poetry, or juvenile titles.HOW TO GET BOOKS REVIEWED
Send new books as soon as possible after publication. Within two months (for most books) we will e-mail a review so that you can correct or confirm our work before we go to press. You'll also receive an e-mail announcement when the review has been published and is on view at our website. Reviews appear in print and on our website, and then feed to our data customers.Note: Send clean bound finished books (no galleys). Clothbound is preferred.
KEEP US UP TO DATE
Please inform us of changes in personnel or contact information. We want our correspondence to find the right people.CORRESPONDENCE
Every month or so you may see a request or a follow-up letter (via e-mail) listing new titles we've selected from Library of Congress MARC records. We understand that titles are often delayed, and our letters are meant simply as reminders. The ideal way to work with us is to send appropriate new books as soon as they're published — without waiting for our requests.DISTRIBUTION
