A litigation guide to expert witnesses.
A litigator in Dallas dealing mostly with commercial and product liability matters, Kuhne offers colleagues a practical guide to using expert witnesses not just during a trial, but also before as a way to convince opponents to settle out of court. He sets the stage by discussing the legal framework, relevant US Supreme Court decisions, rules of discovery and rules of evidence. Then he explores such non-legal matters as selecting and presenting experts, objecting to them, depositions of experts, and cross-examining them. His examples are from US rather than state law.
