Immigration and the American future.
Developing nations are not the only ones to experience migration in globalization. America is, of course, in hot debate over immigration and whether it is beneficial for the society and the economy, while Europe is also undergoing what can be called, at the least, vigorous discourse. The contributors here, led by a foreword stating that mass immigration will render the US unrecognizable and is therefore, in essence, a form of terrorism, assert that the US borders are nonexistent, that the Canadian border constitutes a threat to US security, that the economy of illegal immigration should be more closely investigated and the corporate elite may need to be informed, that immigrants from Mexico are transforming the culture of America, that immigration has gone from invasion to a conquest in the US and Europe and the dystopia could be unlimited. An article on the Christian view of immigration is very interesting. (Annotation ©2008 Book News Inc. Portland, OR)
