They discuss communication, initiating cognition in the interviewee's mind, transitioning toward the confession, using frames, and obtaining the desired outcome. Appendices contain the first 40 minutes of the interview, as well as the final 18 used for the book. The book is meant for use in academic, educational, and training settings. No index is provided. Primer chapters are provided in each of these sections. Other areas covered in less detail include intellectual property, agent representation, and discrimination.
