ASTM standards and technical articles relating to structural glazing.
This collection reprints 12 ASTM standards for adhering glass to a building structure, and 38 papers previously published in special technical publications reporting the performance of structural glazing technology in full-scale mockups, under seismic conditions, under high wind conditions, and other severe weather. Silicon sealants, which are the accepted adhesives for structural glazing, are studied for adhesion, tensile and shear strength, fatigue resistance, chemical resistance, and weathering durability. The earliest paper dates back to 1977, and the table of contents does not provide page numbers. (Annotation ©2007 Book News Inc. Portland, OR)
